Experience the healing properties of nature

Forest Bathing is a form of Nature-Based Mindfulness where we pay attention to the sights, sounds, smells, and textures of the forest. Forest Bathing was developed during the 1980s in Japan by the Department of Forestry and has its foundation in the Shinto Religion. In this belief system all things have in-dwelling spirits in them, especially mountains, rivers, and ancient trees.

The scientific evidence of the benefits of Forest Bathing are numerous. A few of them include:

    • Reductions in cortisol, sympathetic nerve activity, blood pressure, and heart rate

    • A boost in NK “Natural Killer” immune cells resulting from chemicals secreted into the air from conifer trees

Nature Nurtures with Good River Wellness: Join Emily for a revitalizing and immersive experience amidst the beauty of nature each month.

What to Expect:

  • Forest Immersion: Immerse yourself in the natural world, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Breathe in the forest air and let the soothing sounds of the woods wash over you.

  • Mindful Connection: Emily's expertise in mindfulness meditation will help you connect with the present moment, fostering inner peace and relaxation.

  • Guided Experience: Emily will lead you through a series of mindful practices, meditation, and sensory exercises designed to enhance your connection with the forest.

  • Community: "Nature Nurtures" is open to all, and we welcome individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels.  We will be walking on uneven surfaces, but the destination is not as important as the journey.  This is an inclusive, welcoming space to meet like-minded individuals who share a love for nature and mindfulness.
